Energy Optimization of Robotic Cells
In cooperation with the Blumen Becker company, we developed an algorithm that optimizes the energy consumption of robotic cells. The idea is to slow down the robots’ movements while preserving the given cycle time (production rate). This tool has been integrated into Siemens Process Simulate and tested with Škoda Auto, Continental, and Purem Rakovník.

Highlights

  • Energy savings are achieved simply by adjusting robotic programs.
  • The algorithm is integrated into a software tool used by major car manufacturers.
  • The algorithm can reduce the carbon footprint of production.
