Optimization of Tuning Plans for a Passive Surveillance System
Passive radar systems are used for covert detection and tracking of transmitting objects over hundreds of kilometers. Unfortunately, these systems have a limited amount of receivers and therefore can simultaneously monitor only a fraction of frequencies of interest. In this master’s thesis assignment solved together with ERA (https://www.era.aero/cs), we proposed an algorithm for fast construction of so called called tuning plans, that determine which frequencies will be observed by each receiver at a given time.

Highlights

  • Innovative algorithm a Passive Surveillance System.
  • The proposed management of resources (receivers) increases capacity of the system.
  • The algorithm is very fast.
