Energy Nest – Hybrid Power Plant
The Decci Group, in collaboration with the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) and Siemens, has launched the Energy Nest (https://www.decci.cz/energy_nest/) in Vraňany (Mělník region) — a hybrid energy source primarily designed to provide services stabilizing the transmission grid. Our team participated on the development of the power plant control system.

Highlights

  • Innovative hybrid power plant combining modern technologies and a custom-developed control system.
  • Enables stabilization of the transmission grid and flexible response to power surpluses or shortages.
  • Operates in standby mode with zero emissions and no fuel waste.

Team

  • Přemysl Šůcha – design of the control algorithm and digital twin
  • Petr Stejskal (student) – design and implementation of the control algorithm and the digital twin of the power plant
  • Jitka Stoklasová (student) – design of the control system
  • Jiří Vlasák – design of the control system architecture
