Josef Grus

Josef Grus is a PhD student specializing in combinatorial optimization. His current research, while working with the Industrial Informatics Group at CIIRC, focuses on applications of packing and scheduling. In 2023, Josef published two conference papers, followed by a Q1 journal paper in “Computers and Operations Research” on the topic of automation of the placement of analog integrated circuits in 2024. This work is currently being extended to hierarchical circuits in collaboration with STMicroelectronics. In 2025, he published a conference paper and a journal paper on the topic of periodic scheduling.
